so, let's say we go over that cliff at 12:01 tonight, and tomorrow morning the white house and the democratic machine starts the drum beat that republicans have caused this, the republicans, fill in the blank, have created this fiscal mess, now that we're over the cliff. how do we as a party with voices like yours get in front of that noise to reframe this argument just as you just did. take the parties out of this and focus on the nation's business? >> well, number one is i really don't care what's said tomorrow morning. it's a failure of leadership of great proportions of everybody that's here. and anybody you hear trying to make a gain out of that doesn't really care about the country. they care about themselves and advantaging themselves. that's number one. number two is i don't think going over the cliff, as far as a lesson for us, will be all that harmful. i know it's -- everybody's rattled about it, but the fact is, is we will, in fact, reinstitute some tax cuts. we should not reinstitute or eliminate the spending cuts. this government wastes $300 billion to $600 billion a year that no
